Generally, the accepted standard and the recommended quantity of portable restrooms per workers, as established by the American National Standards Institute, is one unit per 10 workers for a 40 hour work week. At this level, the service company can maintain a clean environment for your employees. Overuse will cause uncontrollable odor problems, as well as, an increased health issue. Although a portable restroom can contain the waste, the deodorant cleaners used become ineffective in killing bacteria at higher usage levels.
Under normal conditions most people will use sanitation facilities once every four hours. Take into consideration that the consumption of food, liquids, beer, and other alcoholic beverages will increase usage by 30%-40%.
